NCAPHA IS ACTIVELY RECRUITING FOR A COMMUNITY HEALTH ASSESSMENT SURVEY CONTRACTOR TO BE PLACED AT THE DURHAM COUNTY HEALTH DEPT.

 

TITLE/POSITION: 2022 Durham County Community Health Assessment survey contractor

LOCATION: Durham County Department of Public Health (DCoDPH)

DATES NEEDED: September-November 2022 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on select days (Wednesday-Saturday each week. 32 hours are available each week.)

CONTRACT: This work is on behalf of the Durham County Department of Public Health as part of a contract with Westaff

WAGE: $22/hour

Note*- Surveys are planned for in person between September and November 2022. The survey may finish earlier depending on when 630 surveys are completed (420 for County-wide sample and 210 for Communidad Latina sample). Each contractor will only work on one of the surveys as they happen concurrently.

DESCRIPTION:

Survey contractors will aid Durham County Department of Public Health (DCoDPH) in conducting the 2022 Durham County Community Health Assessment survey. Contractors will be expected to go door-to-door with one other person to selected homes within Durham County.

Contractors will convene mornings and evenings at the Durham Children’s Initiative for check in and check out. Contractors are responsible for beginning and ending their days at the appointed times. Contractors must complete a mandatory training prior to conducting surveys and must follow all DCoDPH guidelines while on duty.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate and work with people of various backgrounds and experience in a non-judgmental manner.
  • Access to a car on survey days to drive to various locations around Durham (can be flexible on this but it would be most helpful to have access to a car).
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to use electronic devices such as tablets.
  • Ability to speak Spanish (optional).

DOCUMENTATION REQURIED:

  • Social Security card OR drivers license AND one of the following:
  • Passport or birth certificate
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Must be all original documents.
