POSITION VACANCY

 

Position Available:           COVID-19 Infection Prevention Response Team Manager

This position is available through our temporary staffing agency, NC Alliance for Public Health Agencies. It is time-imited through 12/30/21 with plan for renewal by NC DHHS through mid-November 2022.

 

Location:                           Remote-work position

                                           Some travel required on occasion as needed to complete required duties

 

Salary Range:                   $55,000-65,000/annually

Starting salary based on qualifications and experience.

Hours: The hours for this position are generally 40 hours between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm; however, given the nature of this critical response effort, may require evening and weekend work

Job Description:    This position will serve as the agency leader for infection prevention with special focus on COVID-19 prevention in long term care facilities across the district region. The Region 3 health department region includes: Alleghany, Ashe, Watauga, Wilkes, Yadkin, Surry, Stokes, Davie, Davidson, and Forsyth counties. The position will collaborate closely with public health leaders and staff across the region as well as community partners in long term care settings to achieve public health outcomes.

Nature of Work:This position requires a strong background in core public health principles, as well as cross-cutting knowledge such as program planning, implementation, and evaluation as it relates to epidemiology and public health laws governing control measures for communicable disease.

The position will work closely with the regional leadership team and will maintain an open connection to key leadership positions, including reporting outcomes and progress routinely to local, regional, and state leadership.

This position requires leadership to build relationships in long term care and public health settings as well as delegation, coaching, and hands-on implementation. Work will include supervision, support, some budget management and oversight for infection prevention outreach and reporting efforts. Previous supervision experience required. Strong computer skills and ability to utilize various web based platforms for data entry and evaluation will be a key component of the position, as will regular video conferencing. It will require flexibility, high energy, and good coordination/organizational skills. Relationship building and strong leadership skills are a must. The position will require the person hired to build and maintain relationships across the district and region in multiple sectors. Demonstrated ability to lead a team required.

Minimum Training Requirements and Experience:  

Clinical experience required.  Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse, EMT, or related field in the State of North Carolina and two years of clinical experience in the area of specialization. 

Leadership experience is preferred.
