Description: Halifax County Public Health System (HCPHS) is currently recruiting for a full time Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) Coordinator to support the continued implementation in a ten county area. The Triple P-Positive Parenting Program is a parenting and family support system designed to prevent as well as treat behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers. It aims to prevent problems in the family, school, and community before they arise and to create family environments that encourage children to realize their potential. This position will support the maintenance and continued implementation of Triple P practitioners within the service area cluster including Nash, Edgecombe, and Wilson counties. This position will provide peer support and coaching to trained Triple P practitioners, ensuring the fidelity of implementation in all aspects. Will also partner with community stakeholders extensively to implement Triple P and develop relationships to increase programmatic support. Also responsible to serve as contact with the State of NC and Triple P America. This person will serve as the day to day contact with HCPHS, regional partners, NC Division of Public Health and Triple P America.

Requirements: A master’s degree in public health education or in public health with a major in public health education; OR graduated from a four-year college or university with a major in health education and two years’ experience in public health education or a related field; OR graduated from a four-year college or university and three years’ experience in public health education; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. Prefer applicants with experience working with child health providers, child care providers, and families. All health department employees (with exception of individuals with an accommodation or medial exemption) are required to get an annual flu shot vaccine as part of condition of employment.

 

Compensation: The hiring range for this position is $ 35,241 - $44,621. Halifax County provides a comprehensive employee benefits package, including membership in the N.C. Local Government Employees’ Retirement System.
